Summer Refurbishment

Exterior Daytime S

One Great George Street will be undertaking a refurbishment this summer; closing from 22nd June - 12th September 2024.

Our friendly team will still be on hand to handle existing booking enquiries and to take new event bookings. Highlights of the refurbishment include our Telford Theatre upgrade, a new state-of-the-art kitchen and measures to make the venue more sustainable than ever before.

More Sustainable Than Ever Before

Sustainability remains a key focus for One Great George Street and this refurbishment. The works will reduce the venue's carbon emissions and form part of its Carbon Net Zero aspiration. The 4 largest air handling units (AHUs) will be fully refurbished and fitted with Electrically Commutated (EC) fans which are significantly more efficient. Additionally, all gas cooking equipment in the main kitchen will be replaced with induction kit.

Telford Theatre Upgrade

The Telford Theatre is undergoing a complete refurbishment including new seating, carpets and enhanced in-built audio visual equipment. Stay tuned on our social media for the time-lapse video!
